This episode of Tale Spin begins with a story written and told by Gel Nunez. Gel works as a teacher in Miller’s Children’s Hospital. There, she is inspired by her patients daily. The story “Carlos’ Way” is a true story of a boy who walked from Guatemala to the US alone.
Next is poetry by Moli Fatu, a local writer currently touring his recently published book of poems “The Diary of a Mad Uso”

The voice and rhythm of Moli is always a pleasure to listen too. In some cases so pleasurable you’ll need a breather afterward.
Music is by Soular System. The song “The Little Things” has an R & B feel that slid seamlessly out of the low timbre of Moli’s voice.

The last story is something I wrote several years ago for my blog

Last June I performed the piece as a story for the Long Beach Community Theater’s production of “On Fatherhood…”
